1) The Secret – Rhonda Byrne The Secret by Rhonda Byrne addresses the power of the “law of attraction” and how people can use this to achieve anything they want in their life. If people speak positivity into existence, then more positive things will occur in their daily routines. Byrne’s book has changed millions of people’s lives and will continue to in the future. A feel-good movie called “The Secret: Dare to Dream”, starring Katie Holmes and Josh Lucas, is based off of the book and demonstrates the power of having a positive attitude in life.
2) Can’t Hurt Me – David Goggins In this New York Times Bestseller, David Goggins discusses how his failures and successes have sculpted him into the person he is today. I highly recommend this book because it teaches people how they can accomplish literally anything if they control their mind.
3) Unshakeable – Tony Robbins Another New York Times Bestseller, Tony Robbins emphasizes that the most dangerous thing about the stock market is not being in the market. This book goes in depth about the significance of investing and growing your money for your future/retirement. Robbins also has another book titled “Money: Master the Game” which I look forward to reading at some point this year.
4) The First Phone Call from Heaven – Mitch Albom Originally, I had no intention of reading this book. However, I found it sitting on my shelf one day during quarantine. Albom has written a couple of good books such as “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” and “Tuesdays with Morrie”. Although it has been a few years since I have read those books, I can honestly say “The First Phone Call from Heaven was my favorite of Mitch Albom’s work. This book left me with the chills at the end.
5) One False Move – Harlan Coben In the fifth book of the Myron Bolitar Series, Coben’s story-lines only get more interesting. Centered around sports, Coben finds a way to keep his audience not wanting to put the book down. This suspense novel, especially the whole series, would make for an excellent television show.
